I agree with Ivan Petrov and Simona Lincheva. Check firewalls, ports and try the IP address rather than hostname (you'd be surprised how often that's the issue)
Also try the 2.0 version of the sql jar instead of C:\Program Files\sqljdbc_3.0\enu\sqljdbc.jar. The properties on mine are:
