Hi, I am new to BW and we are using BW 7.0. Our team annually copies infoprovider, multiprovider, and info packages as part of controlling and profitability analysis processing in Business Warehouse. Generally, the manual steps are to deactivate update rules for previous years info provider (i.e. 2014), create new provider for next year (2016), change info-packages, initialize delta load, and clean up space used by previous years copa processing.
Are there best practices or formal procedures for such steps using BW? I'm unsure as to what may be local customization vs standard procedure and functionality within the BW application. Initially, I had considered the procedures to generate export data source.
