The operation start and finish date is defined by the operation duration and this is calculated according to the scheduling formula from the work center.
The standard formula SAP002, for example, simply considers the number of splits for the calculation, not the split start/finish dates.
Take a look on the calculation carried out by this formula below:
SAP002 = Machine * Operation quantity / Base qty / Operation splits
