I am trying to understand if anyone is successful is triggering approval workflow (Process Controlled) for LOCK, UNLOCK and CLOSE Contract.
I undertand that Process controlled workflow is designed to initiate approval workflows for RELEASE of contract.
However, the actions like 'CLOSE CONTRACT', 'LOCK' and 'UNLOCK' change the status of contract, it is not actual data change on the contract document.
The Standard SRM system workflow (Including whatever Enhancement, configuration options provided by SAP for PCW) works only for approval for release of New or Change version of Contract.
I checked this with SAP (OSS Incident) if they have any plan to release the functionality of Triggering workflow approval for CLOSE, LOCK/UNLOCK of contract, but the answer was it is not in the design and there is not plan to include this in product feature in future.
So, I would like to know, If anyone had similar requirements and has successfully achieven in triggering workflow for LOCK, UNLOCK and CLOSE contract.
