Hi,

The '/3F6 wage type is populated during execution of function INEPF, which computes the EPF related contributions for eligible employees.

This value is computed as annual projected value of the employee monthly PF '/3F5' and is computed as the sum of : Past periods cumulated /3F5 value,  Current period value of /3F5 and Current period value of /3F5 multiplied by the balance months.

Thus the /3F6 wage type represents the PF contribution of the employee projected for the entire year and is subsequently added into the /3I2 wage type which represents the total investments under Sec 88 for availing the corresponding rebate from Income Tax.

Example: An employee is hired into the organization on April 1,20151 with the following salary components :

Basic Salary Rs. 4000

In the view ' V_512W_D, the cumulation class '11 ' EPF Basis' and '39 'VPF Basis) has been selected only for the salary component Basic Salary.

In Infotype 587, the following were defined: PF and Pension Trust to be of RPF nature with contribution of 12% from April 1,2015.

Voluntary PF % has been defined as 10 % The basis for PF, Pension has been selected as the PF basis.

On running payroll for the employee for the period June 2015, the following values will be applicable:

/111    EPF Basis       : 4000

/3FA    01  01             : 4000

/3F1     01 01             : 480 (12% of 4000)

/139    VPF Basis      :  4000

/3FJ    01  01             : 4000

/3F2    01  01             : 400 (10% of 4000)

/3F5                          : 880(Sum(/3F1 and /3F2))

/3F6                          : 10560(CRT(3F5)+ /3F5+/3F5*9 months= 1760+880+7920)

/3I2                :   10560

Kindly let me know If in case you need any further clarifications.

Regards,

Venkat Polisetty
