Appreciate the desire to share knowledge, but please note the age of questions before answering... if it's over a year old then I would suggest letting it lie and focusing on answering current questions instead.
A current answer to an old problem can be misleading - as the context in which the original question was asked, and the context in which the answer is given may be vastly different... and usually the author is either no longer available or has long moved on to other projects and is unlikely to remember the details.
