Is the problem with the Asset Account or Bank Account ?
I'm confused here, because AAREF is generally use when asset/debts need different accounts. For Bank Accounts you could use House Banks.
For the repayment, check the corresponding update type and posting spec, it would need and adjust to get 3.1 symbol account.
